Biography
I’m pretty much a ‘What you see is what you get’ type of guy. I love to write songs, play Drums, Guitar, Bass and occasionally do ’Live’ performances of some of the music I record, but I have yet to find what genre I might fit into, or what other artist I might sound like, maybe someone that is unbiased and subjective could tell me!
I do work a full time job, usually around 60 hours or so a week, so I don’t have as much time to devote to my music as I would like, but hey, you have you pay the bills somehow!
I was born in Mobile, Alabama….Umm around the same time the dinosaurs roamed the earth, anyway my Father us moved to Houston, Texas in 1965, I wasn’t a happy camper having to leave my friends and plus it was the middle of the school year!
I started drumming around the age of 10, I played in my first band around 1966 at the age of 11, but alias my Father (a former musician and Guitar player) decided that he was tired of the noise and so he taught me 3 or 4 chords on a cheap guitar we bought from a friend of mine, and so now I was to be a guitar player.
I don’t read or write music notation, I learned play mainly ‘by ear’ from records and a “
I wrote my first song in 1967, I also got caught up in the ‘I’m going to be a Rock star, make a million dollars and have all the girls I could want’ fantasy, there were more garage bands that you could shake a stick at and if you weren’t in a band you weren’t “cool”
I just wanted to let you know a little about myself and how I wound up a musician, needless to say, I never became a Rock star or made a million dollars and the ‘Girl’ I wound up with has made me a happy man for over 22 years!
